How to remove Instagram Reels in Safari
Still Pro removes Reels from instagram.com in Safari while leaving normal posts, messages, and pages available.
Important: this is for Safari, not the Instagram app
On iPhone and iPad, Safari extensions can change websites you open in Safari. They cannot change the native Instagram app. To use Still on mobile, open instagram.com in Safari; the same boundary applies to the YouTube, Facebook, and TikTok apps.
Enable Still in Safari
- Install Still from the App Store.
- On iPhone or iPad with iOS 18 or later, go to Settings → Apps → Safari → Extensions → Still. On iOS 17 or earlier, go to Settings → Safari → Extensions → Still.
- Turn on Still, then allow it on Instagram. On Mac, use Safari → Settings → Extensions.
- Open Still, unlock Pro, and turn on Instagram. Reload instagram.com once.
Why Still Pro is required
YouTube Shorts removal is free. Still Pro is a $1.99 one-time purchase that adds Instagram and Facebook Reels removal, blocks the TikTok website, and syncs settings across supported surfaces after you sign in with the same email.
If Reels are still visible
- Confirm that Still is enabled in Safari and allowed on Instagram.
- Confirm that you have unlocked Still Pro and the Instagram setting is on.
- Close and reopen Safari, then reload instagram.com.
